豬籠草（Nepenthes ventricosa）原產於菲律賓呂宋島等地，為高地性豬籠草。分布在海拔1,000～2,000公尺附近霧靄籠罩的山岳林中，以圓形飽滿的獨特桶形瓶為特徵。瓶的顏色從紅色至綠色變化，個體差異大，上口邊緣的褶邊發達，具有很高的觀賞價值。在高地種中相對容易栽培，若有晝夜溫差，一般家庭也能飼養。最適溫度為15～28℃，夜間降至15℃左右時最理想。培養土基本以水苔單獨使用，著重通氣性。保持60～80%的濕度時，瓶的形成會更穩定。使用純水或雨水，避免過度潮濕。由於其體型緊湊、瓶形可愛的桶狀特徵，從初學者到進階栽培者都廣受歡迎。
