三葉眼草（Triphyophyllum peltatum）原產於西非（塞拉利昂、象牙海岸等）的熱帶雨林，是一種罕見的食蟲植物。其最大特點是生育階段中葉片形狀會經歷3個階段的變化：①幼植物期的普通葉片、②捕蟲期具有粘性腺毛的葉片（類似於毛氈苔的粘著式捕蟲）、③成為蔓性後的葉片（帶有鉤狀附著器）。捕蟲葉片的出現時期有限，不是始終以食蟲植物形式運作，這是其獨特之處。作為熱帶雨林的蔓性植物，成熟時可長至數公尺。據稱栽培極為困難，需要高溫多濕環境（25～35℃）和特定的環境信號（如乾燥期）來促進捕蟲葉的形成。流通極少，是超級稀有物種。
