細莖石斛（Dendrobium moniliforme）是著生在日本、朝鮮半島、中國南部和東南亞岩石和古樹上的日本原生小型蘭花。「石斛」這個名字也源於其在中醫藥中的歷史用途。植株高度5～15厘米，細長的棒狀莖上有革質的葉片，適應日本氣候，適合屋外栽培。花為白色至淡粉紅色，直徑2～3厘米，具有芳香。花期為初夏（5～6月）。在日本，自江戶時代以來，人們就根據葉片和莖的形狀、斑紋、條紋和矮性等特徵選育了許多品種，被稱為「長生蘭」，作為古典園藝植物備受推崇。管理上，這是一種適應日本氣候、強健的植物，適合在戶外半陰處栽培。冬季會落葉休眠，具有一定的耐寒性（可耐受0℃左右的溫度）。在流木、軟木和岩石上的著生栽培很美觀，水苔盆栽也很常見。
