關於這種疾病
An infestation of root mealybugs that feed on roots underground, causing gradual plant decline — often unnoticed until visible symptoms appear above ground.
主要症狀
- White waxy or cottony deposits found on roots or near the soil surface
- Plant remains wilted even after watering
- Leaves gradually thin, lose color, or appear dull
- Plant growth stalls without any apparent environmental cause
主要原因
- Introduction via infested nursery stock or contaminated soil at purchase
- Multiplication in hot, dry soil conditions
- Accumulation in pots that have not been repotted for extended periods
- Spread to neighboring pots through shared growing space
預防(栽培環境與日常管理)
Quarantine newly purchased plants for observation. Repot regularly (every 2–3 years) to check root health. Maintain good air circulation and avoid excessively moist conditions.
