A condition in which leaf tissue is damaged by sudden intense light or direct sun under high temperatures, causing discoloration and cell death — often triggered by abrupt movement from indoors to outdoors.
主要症狀
- White, cream, or brown discoloration appears on the sun-facing side of leaves
- Affected areas dry out, becoming sunken or papery
- Discolored patches are permanent and do not recover
- Cacti may develop white to brown patches spreading across the surface
主要原因
- Abrupt transfer from indoor conditions to direct outdoor sunlight
- Prolonged exposure to intense summer sun without shade protection
- Combined conditions of high temperature (above 35°C) and strong direct light
- Magnified light through glass creating localized overheating
預防(栽培環境與日常管理)
Acclimate plants gradually over 1–2 weeks when moving from indoors to outdoors. Use shade cloth or bright indirect light to protect against intense midday and afternoon summer sun.
