A physiological disorder in which agave leaf tissue is damaged by intense direct sunlight or sudden changes in light exposure, resulting in bleaching or browning. Damaged tissue does not recover naturally.
主要症狀
- White or brown scorched marks appear on leaf surfaces
- Leaves on the sun-facing side may discolor
- Damaged areas dry out and take on a papery or crispy texture
- Discolored areas may persist while new growth develops normally
主要原因
- Moving the plant suddenly from a shaded area to strong direct sunlight
- Prolonged exposure to intense summer sun without shading
- Localized heat buildup through glass or greenhouse focusing
- Water droplets acting as lenses to intensify light
預防(栽培環境與日常管理)
When relocating plants, acclimate them gradually to new light conditions. Use shade cloth during peak summer to moderate intense sunlight, and avoid direct sun exposure immediately after watering.
