Leaf Scorch / Water Stress
🔎 依症狀查找
關於這種疾病
Leaf scorch is heat and light damage caused by strong direct sunlight, while water stress results from insufficient moisture supply leading to wilting and tissue necrosis. Both are common physiological disorders in summer bonsai management, and small containers dry out especially quickly.
主要症狀
- Leaf margins and tips turn brown and dry out
- Areas of foliage exposed to intense light bleach to white or tan
- New shoots and young leaves wilt and droop
- Soil is very dry and the pot feels noticeably light when lifted
主要原因
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or intense western afternoon sun in summer
- Watering intervals too long, allowing soil to dry out completely
- Excessive transpiration from hot, dry winds during high temperatures
- Small containers with limited water-holding capacity drying out very quickly
預防(栽培環境與日常管理)
In summer, allow only morning sun and move trees to partial shade or under shade cloth from midday. Small containers may require watering once or twice daily. Avoid positions exposed to hot, drying winds.
