Root Rot
🔎 依症狀查找
關於這種疾病
A condition in which roots decay due to excess moisture or poor drainage, potentially causing the entire plant to soften and die. Because agaves are drought-adapted succulents, overwatering is a leading cause of root rot.
主要症狀
- Leaf bases may soften and turn yellow
- The plant becomes unstable or wobbles
- Roots may turn brown or black with an unpleasant odor
- Discoloration and dieback may progress from the leaf tips
主要原因
- Excessively frequent watering
- Use of poorly draining soil or pots without drainage holes
- Prolonged waterlogging due to blocked drainage holes
- Overwatering in hot and humid conditions
預防(栽培環境與日常管理)
Use well-draining succulent mix in pots with drainage holes, and water only after the soil has dried completely. Reduce watering especially during hot and humid summer months.
