- Growing Difficulty
- Intermediate
- Lifespan
- 10-20 years
- Size
- 5-12cm
- Watering
- Insects (auto-capture)
- Light & Placement
- Grown in strong outdoor sun, both the color and the triangular teeth develop well. In low light the traps come out weak.
- Watering
- Tray-water to keep it constantly moist, using only pure or rain water. Tap-water minerals weaken the plant, so avoid them.
- Soil & Repotting
- Use pure sphagnum or peat moss with perlite, and never fertilize. It grows to about 5-12 cm across.
- Dormancy Care
- It must go dormant at 5-10°C in winter. Kept in a warm room it cannot rest and weakens, so expose it to the cold.
- Pests & Cautions
- Two touches on the trigger hairs close the trap, but each trap can close only a limited number of times. Do not trigger it for fun.
