Notes on using this tool
- This tool shows general tendencies at the family/genus level and does not determine whether a specific species is on Appendix I or II.
- CITES appendices are revised at the species level, and treatment can differ within a genus. Always confirm by scientific name using the official checklist.
- CITES (whether international trade is allowed) and plant quarantine are separate procedures. Quarantine applies even to non-CITES plants.
- When in doubt, consult METI, Customs, and the Plant Protection Station before importing or exporting.
