圆叶茅膏菜（Drosera rotundifolia）是北半球分布最广的茅膏菜，分布于欧洲、北亚、北美和日本。其特征是具有圆形叶片（莲座形排列），种名rotundifolia意为"圆叶的"。在日本，该物种自生于北海道和本州的高山湿地和泥炭沼泽，但由于自生地的丧失，某些地区已成为需要保护的物种。叶片上的腺毛分泌闪亮的粘液，可捕捉小昆虫，被叶片卷曲进行消化。该物种耐寒性强，冬季地上部分枯萎，形成冬芽（芽球）进行休眠。栽培时可单独使用湿润的水苔，或使用泥炭土混合珍珠岩，采用腰水法管理，使用纯水或雨水。喜欢强直射光照和冷凉环境。不耐高温，夏季管理需要特别小心。
