大花挖耳草（Pinguicula grandiflora）是自生于西欧（爱尔兰、法国西部、西班牙北部等）高山湿地和岩地的食虫植物。如种名grandiflora（大花）所示，其花在挖耳草属中体型最大，花色鲜艳，呈紫色至蓝紫色，非常美丽。春季绽放似堇花般的硕大花朵。耐寒性极强，即使在欧洲寒冷地也能自生。肉质肥厚的绿色叶片上密生腺毛，可捕获果蝇等小昆虫。栽培可使用湿润苔藓或沙土加珍珠岩，保持常湿至略干的环境。使用纯水或雨水。喜欢明亮的间接光至弱直射光。冬季叶片转变为休眠叶，可在户外越冬。由于需要冬季低温，即使在温带气候地区也可露地栽培，是稀有的食虫挖耳草。
