莱卡斯特（Lycaste）是分布在墨西哥至南美北部热带及亚热带地区约30种的兰花。着生和地生于安第斯山麓潮湿森林和云雾林。具有大型卵形假鳞茎和大型薄叶，株高20～60厘米。花从假鳞茎基部直立花茎上逐朵开放，一株通常产生多个花茎。花径5～15厘米，以三角形状展开的3片大萼片为特征，白、黄、绿、粉红、橙色及复合色等色彩丰富。某些种类具有肉桂般的甜香气。管理上多为落叶型，冬春干季落叶，休眠期减少浇水。温度喜好15～25℃，某些品种怕夏季高温高湿。置于明亮半阴处，生长期提供充足水分和施肥。用树皮与水苔混合土壤种植。
