聖瑪麗岬大戟是原產於馬達加斯加最南端聖瑪麗岬周邊石灰岩地帶的稀有大戟。波狀獨特的葉是最大特徵，葉緣不規則地呈波狀。扁平～球形的塊根上長出多條莖，並長著這些特徵性的葉子。花小不顯眼。若受傷會滲出有毒的白色乳液。生長極其緩慢。自生地極為狹窄，個體數量也很少，因此栽培品也很稀有。管理需要明亮的直射日光～間接光，使用超高排水性土壤。澆水以節制為原則，冬季停止澆水。耐寒性低，需要10℃以上的室內管理。由於其獨特的葉子和極為有限的自生地稀有性，在馬達加斯加產大戟中是特別稀有價值高的品種。
