龍血竹（Dracaena spp.）原產於熱帶非洲與亞洲，是天冬科的多年生植物，已知有200種以上的觀葉植物品種。代表性品種「馬薩加拿」也稱為玉米樹，特點是具有黃色縱紋的劍狀葉片向上展開。生長緩慢，室內高度可達0.3～2公尺。是耐陰性強的植物，可適應從明亮間接光到半日陰的各種光環境。澆水應在土壤乾燥後充分澆水，基本上保持略微乾燥的狀態。含氟的自來水會導致葉尖枯萎，因此晾置或淨水為理想選擇。需維持15℃以上的溫度，避免寒風或暖房的直吹。這是一種強健的觀葉植物，在NASA的空氣淨化研究中也獲得高度評價，從初學者到進階愛好者都廣泛喜愛。
