10+ years
Size
20-40cm
Temperature
10〜28℃
Light & Placement
It prefers bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun, but place it somewhere bright such as a window so light is never lacking.
Watering
Water well in the growing season to build up the pseudobulbs. In winter dormancy keep it drier, giving a little before the bulbs shrivel badly.
Temperature & Overwintering
It grows at 10-28°C, but species split into cool-growing highland and warm-growing lowland types, so check the right temperature for yours.
Soil & Repotting
Pot in bark or sphagnum moss. The pseudobulbs spread in a chain, so repot into a pot with room to grow.
Dormancy Care
Winter is the dormant period, so reduce water and keep it drier. Stop feeding too, and resume with the new growth in spring.
