关于这种疾病

Sooty mold is an indirect disease in which black, soot-like fungi colonize leaves and branches by feeding on the honeydew secreted by sap-sucking insects such as aphids, scale insects, and whiteflies. It can impair photosynthesis and weaken the tree.

主要症状

  • Black, soot-like coating forms on leaf surfaces and branches
  • Impaired photosynthesis causes dull leaf color and reduced vigor
  • Leaves lose their gloss and appear dingy
  • Aphids or scale insects are typically found on the tree simultaneously

主要原因

  • Honeydew secretions from aphids, scale insects, or whiteflies
  • Rapid pest multiplication in poorly ventilated enclosed spaces
  • Reduced tree vigor lowering resistance to pest colonization
  • Hot and humid seasonal conditions that promote fungal growth

预防(栽培环境与日常管理)

Maintain good air circulation and create conditions unfavorable to pest colonization. Inspect leaf undersides and branches regularly to detect aphids or scale insects early. Support tree vigor through appropriate watering and balanced fertilization.
