櫻草葉大戟為馬達加斯加南部石灰岩地帶的原生小型大戟。如其名所示（櫻草葉＝樱草状的葉），圓潤波浪狀的葉片呈現獨特的葉形，令人想起櫻草。扁平塊根露出地表，直接從其上生出蓮座狀葉片。花朵細小不起眼。受傷時會滲出有毒的白色乳液。生長速度極慢。管理上需要明亮直射日光至間接光，並使用超排水性用土。生長期澆水需控制，冬季時則停止澆水。耐寒性低，需在10℃以上室內管理。因其袖珍尺寸與獨特葉形，是馬達加斯加產小型大戟蒐集中不可或缺的品種。
