三角枫（又名唐槭）属于无患子科（旧槭树科）槭属落叶高木，分布于中国东部、台湾和日本。其特征是具有三裂叶片，亦称"三叉槭"，叶片比日本红枫更厚且有光泽。秋天红叶从橙色渐变为红色，观赏价值高，春季新芽也带有红晕。成熟树干形成细微软木质纵纹，呈现独特风格的树皮。在盆栽界，日本、中国乃至欧美均广泛喜爱，被视为优质树种，因其强健、萌芽力强、易于造型而备受推崇。根盘易于发达，扇形展开的根盘美观，是盆栽观赏的亮点之一。养护上喜阳光充足，但夏季强烈直射日光需移至半阴处以防叶片灼伤。浇水方面不耐干燥，夏季需勤浇。通过摘叶可增加细枝，每2～3年换盆一次以整理根系。
