密花象牙宮是自生於馬達加斯加中部高地的象牙宮。以「密花」的別稱為人所熟知，特徵是粗短圓渾~卵形的塊根與密集綻放的黃色花朵。莖幹短粗，棘刺密集。在生長期的春~初夏，大量綻放鮮豔黃色花朵的景象壯觀，開花株具有極高的觀賞價值。與粗象牙宮相比，塊根印象更加粗短，獨特的外形深受歡迎。生長緩慢。管理上偏好直射日光，超排水性土壤為基礎。生長期澆水充足，冬季斷水。耐寒性低，需在10℃以上的室內越冬。相對容易取得，在黃花象牙宮中也是存在感強的品種。
