象牙宮是原生於馬達加斯加中部至南部乾燥岩礁地帶的瓶子樹屬植物。以羅斯拉圖姆之名流通，特徵為瓶形至梨形肥大的塊根，以及放射狀展開的蓮座狀葉片排列。莖呈灰綠色，略有光澤，生有短棘。花為鮮艷的黃色，於春季至初夏開花。在瓶子樹屬中相對容易取得，與格拉西利斯並列，作為入門種頗受歡迎。生長速度緩慢，但據稱比格拉西利斯略快。管理上喜好直射日光，適合排水性極佳、通風良好的土壤。澆水於生育期（春至秋）適量澆灌，冬季落葉後須停止澆水。耐受高溫，但需注意梅雨期間的長期降雨和過度潮濕。耐寒性低，冬季須在10℃以上的室內管理。其穩定的需求和相對易於管理的特性，使其成為塊根植物入門的最佳選擇之一。
