Agave Celsii key facts

Growing Difficulty
Beginner-friendly
Lifespan
20+ years
Size
30-50cm
Light & Placement
It tolerates direct sun to bright partial shade and adapts to some shade. It also grows well in a bright indoor spot.
Watering
Water sparingly after the soil dries, taking care not to overwater. Water until it drains from the bottom, and never leave water in the saucer.
Temperature & Overwintering
Cold tolerance is fairly high, reportedly down to about -5 to -8°C, so it can overwinter outdoors in mild regions of Japan.
Soil & Repotting
A fast-draining mix is essential. It forms a rosette 50 to 80 cm wide, so pot up as it grows.
Notes
Softer impression than other agaves, easy to manage
