Agave Parrasana key facts

Growing Difficulty
Intermediate
Lifespan
20-40 years
Size
50-80cm (rosette diameter)
Temperature
-10〜38℃
Humidity
10〜40%
Light & Placement
It prefers strong direct sun. With ample light the leaves overlap tightly, forming the compact cabbage-like rosette.
Watering
Highly drought tolerant, so water sparingly once the soil has dried. Excess moisture is strictly to be avoided as it causes root rot.
Temperature & Overwintering
A highland native, it is hardy to about -10°C, with a working range of -10 to 38°C. Protect it in winter where temperatures drop further.
Soil & Repotting
Use a well-draining mix. The rosette stays around 50-80 cm across, so potting up as it grows keeps it easy to manage.
