Hygrophila key facts

Growing Difficulty
Beginner-friendly
Size
15-40cm
Temperature
22〜28℃
Lighting
Medium lighting is enough for good growth. Strong light is unnecessary, so a standard aquarium light will do.
CO2 & Fertilizer
Grows vigorously without CO2. It has low fertiliser demands too, making it an easy first plant for beginners.
Water Temperature & Quality
A water temperature of 22-28°C is suitable. As a tropical wetland plant it grows fine in a typical tropical tank.
Growth
Very fast — may need weekly trimming
Trimming & Propagation
When the stems grow long, cut them back and simply replant the cuttings to multiply it. Planted densely it forms a green wall in the background.
Notes
Fast growth may block light for other plants
