奇异猪笼草（Nepenthes mirabilis）是猪笼草属中分布范围最广的种，自生于整个东南亚（泰国、越南、菲律宾、婆罗洲、苏门答腊等）至澳大利亚北部。是低地性强健的种类，适应从海岸沙地到内陆草地、林缘等多种环境。具有绿至红的多样色彩变异，捕虫笼形状也因产地而异。栽培适温为20〜35℃，喜高温，怕冷。用土使用水苔或泥炭土+珍珠岩，采用腰水或保持不干的浇水方式管理。湿度50%以上相对容易栽培，是初学者向的低地性猪笼草的经典种类。
