象足龟甲龙（龟甲龙）是原产于南非卡鲁地区的山药科块根植物。如其俗名"龟甲龙"所示，具有如龟壳一般的几何形多角形裂纹纹样的块根是其最大的特征。块根露出地表，由软木质表皮覆盖。生长期为冬型（秋～春），细长的蔓状茎伸长，长出心形的叶片。夏季完全休眠，茎叶枯萎。生长非常缓慢，块根长大需要数十年。管理在秋～春的生长期进行明亮间接光～直射日光的管理，进行适度的浇水。夏季休眠期进行断水或极少浇水的干燥管理。耐寒性约为5～10℃，需要避免霜冻。由于其独特的几何块根的美丽外观，是块根植物爱好者中最受欢迎的品种之一，在日本也作为"龟甲龙"广为人知。
