被称为墨西哥龟背龙，相比非洲种有更圆的块根。属于夏季生长型，管理方式有所不同。寿命50年以上。成体块根大小10～25厘米。
关于我们
墨西哥薯蓣是原生于墨西哥至中美洲热带和亚热带地区的薯蓣科块根植物。也被称为"墨西哥龟背龙"，但与非洲龟背龙（象足树）相比，块根表面相对光滑，呈现出更圆润的形状。生长期为夏季类型，与非洲种的季节相反。夏季伸出蔓性茎，生长心形至三裂的叶子。冬季落叶休眠。生长速度相对较快，块根肥大也相对顺利。管理为夏季类型，所以在春至秋的生长期间以直射阳光至明亮的半阴处管理，进行充分浇水。冬季休眠期间断水或仅进行极少量浇水。耐寒性相比象足树较低，宜保持10℃以上。虽然没有龟背龙那样的几何形块根纹样，但因其圆润可爱的块根和夏季类型管理的便利性而受欢迎。
