纳玛库阿兰掌是自生于南非纳玛夸兰和纳米比亚南部岩石地带的极其罕见的掌属植物。英文名为"Half Man"（半人），其单茎向太阳方向（北向）倾斜生长的独特生长特性吸引了众多收藏家。茎呈柱状生长，叶片和花朵仅在顶端附近出现。花色为褐色至红褐色，具有香气。被列入《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》（CITES）附录I，流通极为有限，属超级罕见物种。生长极为缓慢。养护需高排水性土壤和强烈直射阳光，生长季节需节制浇水，冬季断水。具有冬季生长倾向，对夏季高温高湿敏感，这是养护上最大的难点。作为CITES I保护物种，被视为终极珍稀多肉植物，是收藏家的最高梦想品种。
