Nutrient Deficiency / Leaf Yellowing and Holes
🔎 按症状查找
关于这种疾病
A condition in which aquatic plant leaves turn yellow or develop holes due to insufficient nutrients such as iron, potassium, or microelements. The pattern of symptoms can sometimes indicate which specific element is deficient.
主要症状
- Leaves turn yellow to white overall, sometimes with veins remaining green
- Small holes or irregular damage appear on the leaf surface
- New shoots are small and growth slows noticeably
- Older leaves yellow and fall off progressively
主要原因
- Insufficient liquid or substrate fertilizer application
- Excessive water changes diluting available nutrients
- Nutrient competition and depletion from high-density planting
- Impaired nutrient uptake due to unsuitable pH or water hardness
预防(栽培环境与日常管理)
Apply fertilizers regularly in proportion to planting density, and replenish nutrients after water changes. Regularly monitoring water quality targeting pH 6.0–7.5 and GH 4–8, which suit most aquatic plants, helps prevent deficiencies.

Aquatic plant and horticultural specialty stores can estimate the type of deficient nutrient (iron, potassium, calcium, etc.) from the pattern of leaf symptoms and advise on suitable liquid or substrate fertilizers and water quality adjustments.
