Agave Colorata key facts

Growing Difficulty
Intermediate
Lifespan
15-25 years
Size
30-50cm
Temperature
-5〜40℃
Light & Placement
Direct sun is essential; the leaf color fades without enough light. Its compact rosette makes it well suited to pot culture.
Watering
Water sparingly only after the soil has dried out completely, and keep it nearly dry in winter. Take particular care to avoid rot.
Soil & Repotting
A fast-draining mix is required. It stays around 30 to 50 cm tall, so repot into a slightly larger pot once the roots fill the container.
Temperature & Overwintering
Cold tolerance is rated down to about -5°C, but it is frost-sensitive, so overwinter it somewhere sheltered from frost.
