Thread Agave key facts

Growing Difficulty
Beginner-friendly
Lifespan
Perennial (15-20 years)
Size
30-60cm
Watering
Minimal
Light & Placement
It prefers direct sun but also grows in bright partial shade. Plenty of light year-round keeps the plant compact.
Watering
Water sparingly, only after the soil dries. In winter, about once a month is enough.
Soil & Repotting
It dislikes excess moisture, so a fast-draining mix is required. Growth is slow, so repot only once it becomes root-bound.
Temperature & Overwintering
Cold tolerance is around 5 to 8°C, which is fairly cold-tolerant. Keep it out of frost in winter.
Propagation
It produces many offsets, so it is easily propagated by division. Separate offsets once they have grown a bit for easier rooting.
