Apply as a growerAnubias Nana Petite key facts
- Growing Difficulty
- Beginner-friendly
- Lifespan
- Perennial
- Size
- 3-5cm
- Watering
- Liquid fertilizer (small amount)
- Lighting
- Highly shade-tolerant and grows even in low light. Strong light causes algae on the leaves, so modest lighting is enough.
- Substrate & Attachment
- Grow it attached to fine parts of driftwood or gaps between rocks. The rhizome rots if buried in the substrate, so always fix it to wood or rock.
- CO2 & Fertilizer
- CO2 is unnecessary and only a small amount of liquid fertiliser is needed. Growth is even slower than regular Nana, staying around 3-5 cm tall.
- Trimming & Propagation
- Grows very slowly and hardly ever needs trimming. Adding shrimp keeps the leaves clean of algae and makes long-term upkeep easier.
- Notes
- Prone to algae, maintain water quality
