- CO2 injection makes the colour vivid. Regular dosing of a liquid fertiliser containing iron and potassium improves the red further.
- Water Temperature & Quality
- Prefers a water temperature of 20-28°C and slightly acidic to neutral soft water. Its leaves ripple in moving water, so give it a gentle current.
- Trimming & Propagation
- Growth is slow to moderate. Repeatedly trimming and replanting the tops builds density and creates a more beautiful stand.
- Cautions
- Algae easily tangles in the needle-thin leaves. Despite its delicate look it is relatively easy to grow and suits intermediate growers.
