Growing Difficulty: Beginner-friendly
Lifespan: Perennial
Size: 2-5cm
Temperature: 20〜28℃
Watering: Root tabs + liquid fertilizer as needed
Lighting: Under medium or stronger light it spreads low and dense. With CO2 injection and medium to high light, growth accelerates greatly.
CO2 & Fertilizer: It grows without CO2, but with injection a carpet can be completed in a few weeks. Solid fertilizer in the substrate is especially effective.
Water Temperature & Quality: Prefers 20–28°C and slightly acidic to neutral water. Stable water conditions keep the carpet from breaking up.
Trimming & Propagation: It creeps sideways by runners. Less work than hairgrass or Glossostigma; lightly trim the top when it gets thick.
Notes: Grows upright without enough light. Ensure adequate lighting
