Its most notable characteristic is outstanding hardiness: it grows vigorously at moderate light levels without CO2 supplementation, making it one of the most forgiving stem plants available. Growth is fast, requiring frequent trimming, but replanted stem cuttings establish without difficulty. Superficially similar to Cabomba but considerably easier to cultivate.
