Like other prayer plants it shows nyctinasty, folding its leaves upward at night and reopening by morning. It prefers bright indirect light; direct sun fades the colour and scorches the leaves. It is sensitive to water quality, so dechlorinated water or rainwater is best. Somewhat demanding, but loved for its striking patterned foliage.
