'Snaggle Tooth' is a variegated Agave titanota with a very wide creamy-white edge. According to a US specialist nursery it was introduced by Mountain States Nursery in the US and is also known as 'MSWNStarr1'. Because of its reduced chlorophyll it grows very slowly, eventually reaching about 45 cm tall and 120 cm wide. The nursery reports no foliar burn in full sun in its climate despite the creamy-white foliage. A Japanese succulent encyclopedia describes it as notable for the contrast of its broad, bright ivory edge. The name is an English term for a crooked, protruding tooth,. It is told apart from green titanota selections at a glance by the variegated edge, and among variegated titanota by the width of that edge. Plants traded as titanota also include what has recently been described as A. oteroi, and the classification is not settled. In Japan it is sold by specialist nurseries and online shops.
