About

Heliamphora minor is one of the smallest species in the genus, endemic to the summit of Auyan-Tepui in Venezuela at approximately 2,000 m elevation. Its compact size, tidy rosette form, and relative ease of cultivation compared to larger highland Heliamphora make it the standard recommended starting point for growers new to the genus. Like all Heliamphora, it relies on simple tubular pitchers topped by a small nectar spoon, and digestion is primarily microbial. It requires the same highland conditions as other genus members: cool temperatures (18–25°C by day, 8–15°C at night), high humidity (70–90%), sphagnum-based media with good aeration, and pure or rainwater. High summer temperatures are the primary challenge in temperate cultivation.
