Fragrant Orchids of Spring — Fragrant Cattleya and Dendrobium Varieties

Spring marks the beginning of the orchid blooming season. It is the season when many fragrant Cattleya varieties bloom, and you can enjoy the magnificent fragrance befitting the "Queen of Orchids." Cattleya intermedia is characterized by a sweet, spicy fragrance and produces beautiful flowers from March to April. The flowers last 2-3 weeks, filling the room with a sweet scent.

Dendrobium kingianum produces many small flowers in a dense spike during spring and emits a sweet, honey-like fragrance. It is hardy and robust, making it an easy variety for beginners to grow. As the plant matures, it produces dozens of flower spikes, and its fragrance is spectacular.

Spring-blooming Lycaste species are also not to be missed. Lycaste aromatica lives up to its name with a strong fragrance, smelling warmly of cinnamon.
