About

Echeveria pulidonis is a species native to the states of Hidalgo and Querétaro in central Mexico, forming flat rosettes of glaucous blue-green leaves edged with vivid red margins that deepen in color with sun exposure and cool temperatures. The contrast between the powdery pale blue leaf surface and the crisp red margins is considered one of the most elegant in the genus. Mature rosettes reach 8–15 cm across. As a true species rather than a cultivar, it is relatively robust and has been used extensively in hybridization programs. Culture follows standard Echeveria requirements: full sun for optimal coloration, well-draining soil, and conservative watering with the substrate fully dried between applications. Summer humidity and waterlogging should be avoided. Cold tolerance is approximately 3–5°C. Propagation by leaf cuttings or offsets is straightforward.
