- Plenty during growth. Dry to minimal in winter
- Temperature & Overwintering
- It must be kept above 10°C, so in Japan it is managed indoors over winter. After the leaves drop, keep it nearly dry until spring.
- Soil & Repotting
- Use a fast-draining succulent or cactus mix. Repot at the start of the growing season, wearing thick gloves because of the spines.
- Propagation
- Propagate from seed or by stem cuttings. For cuttings, let the cut surface dry well before inserting it into dry soil.
